About Us
Crystal Gail Boutique: Mother Daughter Duo (peas & carrots)
Recent shift in vision of ideal/typical consumer and inventory alignment/congruence.
- I’m shifting from a luxury boutique concept to a “meet customers where they are" approach. This approach focuses on variety and range of products to have a diversified audience.
- When you go to a typical store you know exactly what you’ll find. However, shopping at places like Goodwill offers the opportunity for an experience that trumps (pun intended, lol) retail therapy.
- Shopping new and preloved offers an element of serendipitous psychology, because you never know what you’ll find. There’s anticipatory anxiety built into the experience (in a positive way). There’s an element of the lottery, because people have found hidden treasures that are priceless.
- It also allows lower income SES customers to afford a designer or luxury item they may have never had the opportunity to own. This has positive psychological impacts that I want to exploit (in the best way possible)! It allows people to think and imagine ideas and possibilities they never would have otherwise. I also want to play with the idea of the psychological effects of brand creation, fashion and biopsychosocial.
- It doesn’t matter if you’re wearing NWT designer clothes if you operate with junk yard thinking. I want to challenge customers to have the total transformational experience of women feeling beautiful inside and out and finding value and worth intrinsically and extrinsically. I want them to buy into a better locally sourced brand- their true self!
- I originally wanted only high end, but my goal is for there to be something for everyone with a take what you need, and leave the rest.
